Orange Chicken

One of the easiest recipes I cook is Orange Chicken. I usually make it with brown rice, white rice, either one goes perfect!  A fun tip, I like to add Turmeric: it gives food a golden color and extremely good for you! I use it in my eggs, rice, steak, you name it!!


1 Slab of boneless chicken breast

1/2 teaspoon of dried parsley

1/3 cup of fresh finely chopped red pepper

1/4 cup of soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon of turmeric

2 tablespoons of honey

1/3 cup of brown sugar

5 squeezed oranges (save some of the orange peel, cut with potato peeler, cut into thin strips)

1 squeezed lime

2 tablespoon of coconut oil

1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

** salt, pepper, garlic powder


In a bowl cut all chicken breast into 1/2 inch size. Season all sides of chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic. In a large deep pan (non-stick), on medium heat place the coconut oil on the bottom, let get hot, add chicken and turn every 2 minutes until chicken is brown.

Orange sauce: In a separate bowl, cut red pepper into small pieces, add all remaining ingredients. Whisk, make sure the brown sugar has dissolved.

Once chicken is cooked, lower heat, and add orange sauce to the pan. Cook for another 10-20minutes. Serve over rice!
